Our on-campus Student Health Center is now open!
LATTC students are eligible for healthcare services through our healthcare partner, Via Care Community Health Center. You can receive healthcare services on campus at our Student Health Center, at the Via Care East Cesar E. Chavez Clinic, or via telehealth.

Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)
What is the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)?
The Behavioral Intervention Team also known as BIT is a multidisciplinary team responsible for assessing and responding to serious but non-immediate, non-emergency student concerns and behaviors. LATTC Faculty, Classified Staff and Administration are encouraged to report all concerning behaviors so that the BIT can document and track "red" flags over time and, ideally, proactively respond to a situation.
Types of Observed Behaviors or Situations to Report
- Anger and rage
- Hysterical or emotional outbursts
- Eating disorders
- Suicidal thoughts or ideations
- Hopelessness, desperation
- Anxiety, depression
- Impulsive or rash behaviors
- Bullying
- Delusional or paranoid speech
- Constant frustration
- Yelling or disrespectful actions
- Signs of distress
- Substance abuse
- and many other behaviors that are disruptive or pose harm to students or others
