STEAM Academy
Welcome. We look forward to you becoming an LA Trade-Tech student and getting to participate in our STEAM Academy program.
The STEAM Academy program provides high school (and highly recommended middle school) students with the opportunity to take college credit classes. Classes are available, in-person and online (Synchronous & Asynchronous)
If you wish to learn more about the enrollment and courses, please complete the STEAM Academy Orientation Survey below and sign up for an upcoming orientation.
STEAM Enrollment
1. STEAM Orientation: New STEAM students must attend an online (Zoom orientation). For dates, time and Zoom info, please fill out an interest form below.
2. LACCD ID - Students must have an active & credit LACCD ID. To obtain an LACCD ID, you must complete a LATTC Application (select "college credit application)
3. LATTC K-12 Form - Student initiated form with courses requesting permission to enroll. Must be signed by student, high school counselor (all students) , and parent (for new students) - Supplemental Application for Admissions of Students in Gr. K-12
4. STEAM Program Survey Roster - Fall 2025 STEAM Academy Roster Survey
5. Self-Enrollment - Once approved, you will receive an email from steam@lattc.edu with information on how to enroll into course(s)
STEAM Middles School enrollment - Additional requirements
- In addition to the steps required under STEAM enrollment, Middle school students must submit additional items to be considered for the program:
- Concurrent Enrollment Special Admission Petition for Middle School Students
- Middle school transcripts must be attached to the LATTC K-12 form - Supplemental Application for Admissions of Students in Gr. K-12
- Letter of recommendation from a school official and email PDF to steam@lattc.edu and welcomecenter@lattc.edu
