Americonned film screening + panel

LATTC’s Behavioral and Social Sciences department and the Dolores Huerta Labor Institute invite the campus community to a screening of the 2023 film "Americonned," an award winning film about income inequality in the U.S. featuring Chris Smalls, President of Amazon Labor Union, followed by a live panel discussion with the film’s director, Sean Claffey.

In this David vs. Goliath story, Chris Smalls leads a movement to unionize Amazon workers for the first time. After the corporation fired Smalls for speaking up for workers’ rights, he is inspiring legions of works t, as the late-great Congressman Jogn Lewis said, get into “good trouble.”
