DISABLED STUDENT SERVICES/ACADEMIC ACCOMMODATIONS
The College’s Disabled Student Programs and Services is designed to provide equal access for students with disabilities to enable students to fully participate in and benefit from all college programs, services, and activities. The DSPS Associate Dean, Dr. Saadia Porche, is charged with ensuring that all qualified students with a disability are provided with access and opportunity to take part in educational programs, services and activities on an equal basis.

EMPLOYMENT RELATED MATTERS
Supervisor of Payroll/Personnel and Administrative Analyst, Claudia Mata, has been designated to coordinate compliance in the employment area. He will ensure that all personnel processes, including administrative services, comply with ADA requirements; that all applicants for employment receive notice of the accommodation process. Disabled employees wanting accommodations shall request them through their departments. The Human Resources Office will coordinate with the District’s ADA Compliance Administrator, Mardell Kuntzelman, to ensure that all supervisors and managers attend training on the provisions of the ADA.

CAMPUS ACCESS
The Director of College Facilities, Scott McIntyre, has been designated to coordinate compliance with ADA physical access requirements. His office maintains the College’s Transition Plan and has stewardship of campus data on the physical accessibility of building interiors and paths of travel. His office handles inquiries and provides access solutions to existing rooms, meeting or event places and sports arenas, facilities and paths of travel, handles requests for accommodations and complaints about access, and coordinates with the College’s Enterprise Office to provide construction notices. His office also provides strategies for the safety of persons with disabilities during an evacuation or emergency.
