Becoming a Student Ambassador

  • Must be a currently enrolled as a Los Angeles Trade Technical College student.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 12 units the term the position would begin.
  • Must have a term and cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
  • Position has a one academic year commitment which includes a 3-week training,

The following skill sets are desired office place skills; we are interested in students possessing these skills, but the program is willing to train engaged students to improve in these areas while actively involved in the Ambassador program.

  • Computer Skills
    • Internet searches
    • Email
    • MS Office Suite
    • Design software (Adobe) a plus, but not necessary
  • Communication

    • Public speaking
    • Interpersonal communication
    • Writing (clear and concise)
  • Organizational

    • Prioritization
    • Clean, Professional, Neat
    • Filing

  • Are positive and open to learning new things
  • Excel at communicating with others
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Have LATTC Spirit
  • Have a commitment diversity and social justice

  • Pay at the hourly student worker rate
  • Development of Leadership Skills
  • Communication and Professional Skill Building
  • Letters of Recommendation Upon Completion
  • Certificate of Completion
