Compliance oversight is facilitated through The Office of Diversity Programs located at the Los Angeles Community College District Office.

Gene Little, the Director of The Office of Diversity Programs, is responsible for ensuring compliance with the district’s Prohibited Discrimination and Harassment Policy and Procedures, including ADA Compliance.

District Compliance Officers will investigate and analyze complaints of alleged violations of discrimination, civil rights and employment policies, and prepare reports and communications detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Compliance support is provided by the Office of Diversity Programs including developing and implementing training for faculty, staff, and students to increase awareness and sensitivity to diversity policy and related matters.

ADA Compliance ensures that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in all of the programs, services, and activities. LACCD will make reasonable modifications to policies and practices, as well as, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication, including sign language interpreters, documents in Braille, and other alternate formats to ensure information is accessible to people who have speech, hearing, vision, or cognitive impairments. As an example of reasonable modification, individuals with service animals behaving within applicable standards are welcome in offices and campus facilities, even when pets are generally prohibited.
