3rd Annual Culinary Cup

Los Angeles Trade-Technical College is pleased to host the Los Angeles Community College District’s third annual Culinary Cup on Friday, May 12, 2023. The full-day event presents an exciting culinary competition featuring chef instructors and culinary students from the Los Angeles Community College District’s three colleges with culinary programs: Trade-Tech, Los Angeles Mission College, and Los Angeles Harbor College. The competition will culminate with the awarding of the coveted Golden Chef’s Hat trophy. This year’s competition will take inspiration from the flavors of Southeast Asia. Culinary teams will be asked use six traditional Southeast Asian ingredients to prepare classic Southeast Asian-inspired dishes. LATTC will bring in professionals from throughout the culinary industry to score the college teams in three distinct categories: Savory, Plated Dessert, and Tablescape.

In addition to the day’s competition, guests will enjoy guided tours of LATTC’s Culinary Arts Building, cooking and baking demonstrations, a special Southeast Asian lunch prepared by Culinary Art students, and a seat at the awards ceremony.
