Join PUENTE!

LATTC PUENTE hopes you will be part of its next cohort! The program is open to all LATTC students. New cohorts begin every fall. Read through the program eligibility requirements below and complete steps during the spring or summer to enroll in the cohort that will begin the following fall.


Eligibility

  • Must have an English placement of English 101 and can not have already taken English 101
  • Must enroll in paired counseling courses, specifically for PUENTE
  • Must attend scheduled evening and weekend PUENTE activities
  • Must participate in Mentor activities
  • Work no more than 20 hrs/week
  • Must be university transfer bound
  • Make a one-year commitment to the PUENTE Learning community
  • Participate and attend PUENTE club meetings
  • Note: full-time enrollment is not mandatory

Steps to Join PUENTE

Step 1: Enroll as a student at LATTC. Apply to Los Angeles Trade-Technical College (Los Angeles Community College District - LACCD)

Step 2: Fill out the PUENTE Interest form

Step 2: PUENTE will contact you to meet with a counselor to develop your Student Educational Plan

Step 3: Attend the PUENTE summer retreat to learn more about PUENTE benefits and commitment
