Workshops are provided by Pathway Navigators, faculty, alumni mentors and industry partners about the various occupations within the pathways, highlighting the different job opportunities available. Individual occupational preferences are examined through the use of reliable and valid career assessments.

Students are provided with assistance with preparing resumes and portfolios/ePortfolios that are appropriate for the specific industry in which they are seeking employment. Pathway Navigators, other faculty, alumni working in the field and industry partners provide information on specialized and unique expectations of the occupations; the Job Placement Specialist, LATTC Career Center and Vernon-Central/LATTC WorkSource center provide assistance with general resumes.

The ECSP Job Placement Specialist provides job search workshops; assist students with posting their resumes on appropriate job search engines and online platforms (LikedIn, Indeed, Monster.com, USA.gov, county and city platforms, etc.); teach students to evaluate job descriptions; provide strategies for non-traditional job search techniques and support students with identifying personal and professional priorities.

ECSP prepares Students and Alumni for all types of interviews (informational, informal, group, virtual and traditional); assists with developing responses to different types of interview questions and methods; assists with non-verbal interview dynamics such as wardrobe, facial expression, body language, tone of voice, etc.; host mock interviews to allow students to practice interview skills and get meaningful feedback; limited assistance with interview clothing is also available to eligible students through the Clothing Closet, Dress for Success and Close the Deal.
