Our Name

Academic Connections is a collaborative interdisciplinary hub that interconnects the campus to provide students with support services required to achieve their academic, vocational and personal goals. We offer computer-assisted and instructor-led courses and workshops to strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, English as a Second Language, mathematics, computer/information technology, workforce and self-efficacy competencies, and learning and study skills. We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to further prepare students for success in college-level courses, employment, and long-term educational, career, and life-long goals.

How to Access Tutoring Services

The Tutoring Center offers general walk-in tutoring to students in various subjects on campus in a small group and individualized settings. Tutoring can typically last between 15 mins–50 mins; however, times can vary depending on the complexity of the problems or issues. Students receive tutoring on a first-come, first-served basis.

In order to make use of the services provided by Academic Connections, students must be enrolled at LATTC and possess a current LATTC student ID card. Students using the services in Academic Connections must be enrolled in Academic Connections courses, Tutoring, or Connection Sessions. Hours may vary during holidays and summer and winter sessions.
