Work Study

What is Work Study?

Work Study is paid part-time employment available to eligible CalWORKs students to help meet the mandatory welfare to work hours. Students interested in Work Study should contact the CalWORKs staff at (213) 763-7124.

Who is eligible for the Work Study?

• Student enrolled in 9 or more units at LATTC (current fee receipt needed)
• Receiving TANF/CalWORKs benefits (cash aid)
• In good academic standing (GPA 2.0 or above)
• In good standing with the county welfare office

How to apply for the Work Study?

You my go to the Career Center, located in Juniper Hall ( ST-413) for an application and complete the necessary workshops. Workshop schedules are located both in the GAIN/CalWORKs Office (ST-403) and the Career Center (ST-413).
