Good Monday morning to you, August 20, 2018—
Here we are starting Ready Week, just one more week to go before the Fall 2018 semester starts on Monday, August 27th. We certainly hope that you have secured your Fall classes and are preparing for a great semester. We know that you may still have questions about the enrollment process, your SIS account, pre-requisites, financial aid, and where your classes are located. Do not hesitate to ask us. We will try to get you answers as soon as possible. You can always start with the Bridges to Success Center in Mariposa Hall Room, 105. You can also email the Bridges office at bridges@lattc.edu.
Don’t forget we are offering more orientations, and you can sign up at the Bridges office. Start off your college career fully prepared. Our orientation can give you information about all of our resources and student services.
In addition to the in-person support you can receive in Bridges, you can also find important academic deadlines online at: http://college.lattc.edu/oac/calendar/. You can also keep up to date on key deadlines on your mobile phone by downloading the FREE Grad Guru App today (available for Apple and Android)! You can add dates/deadlines directly to your personal calendar, get helpful tips and guidance – all geared towards helping you stay on track!
This Wednesday August 22nd in Aspen Hall, Room 101, our UMOJA community will be holding a kick-off event from 11:00am to 12:30pm for students who applied and were selected for this year.
Just a reminder that the LATTC/St. Francis Food Pantry will NOT occur this Tuesday August 21st. We will resume the pantry in September.
If you are in need of support related to any addiction issues, the campus hosts an AA meeting every Wednesday at 1:30pm in the Bradley Center for Student Life (formerly Redwood Hall), Room 205. You are welcome to participate.
The water polo team is looking for competitive swimmers to join the Trade Tech team. If you are a competitive swimmer, call Coach Wells at 213 763-3737 or email wellsrl@lattc.edu
We encourage you to purchase your parking pass as soon as possible. The general student pass is $20 and $27 for preferred parking for the entire semester. Please use ONLY student spaces. You can pick up a parking pass in the Business Office. You might want to do it this week before the rush happens. We do not ticket at the beginning of the semester but do not forget.
