Steps after You are accepted
Once you complete the admission process and we receive all your required documents, you will be provided with an admission packet which includes:
- Your acceptance letter
- I-20 for your F-1 student visa
- Other important information
Arrival and Check-In Date
If you have applied from outside of the U.S. your F-1 visa allows you to arrive here 30 days prior to your program start date. Arriving earlier will help you with acclimating to your new environment before the hectic start of the semester. It will also allow you to secure your housing, enroll for classes, take care of banking needs, apply for your driver’s license or CA ID card, etc. Remember that International Student Center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. You need to bring your passport/visa page and your I-94 when to come to check in.
If you are an F-1 student transferring in from another U.S. institution and have travelled outside the U.S., you need to bring a copy of your I-94 on the check-in date, attend the International Student Orientation, and see our counselor to enroll for your classes.
If you are an F-1 student transferring in from another U.S. institution and haven’t travelled outside the U.S., all you need is to attend the International Student Orientation and see our counselor to enroll for your classes.
