Detailed Course Description:
This course offers instruction in the principles involved in steering, suspension, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, hydraulic and power brakes. This course also covers related sciences such as physics and mathematics applied to steering, suspension, and braking principles. In conjunction, this course covers instruction in disassembly, inspection, reassembly and adjustment of suspnsion and steering systems, installation of brake shoes and disc pads, including drum and disc truing, adjustment and servicing of the brake system, including disassembly, inspection, and repair of master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders. All lab work in this class is subject to work avaiable during class hours.
