The objectives of the workshop are to: (1) increase awareness of campus members regarding key facts/information on student retention at Trade-Tech, (2) introduce faculty/staff to 10 things faculty can do within the first week of class to increase student retention, (3) provide additional resources to faculty pertaining to student retention and success including 101 things faculty can do in the first three weeks of class to enhance student success; a faculty self-assessment instrument for identifying what they can implement to improve retention; publications of community college student retention by ACT and Vincent Tinto; and a list of faculty support websites with further tools and information on student retention and success.
