The Beavers Celebration Rocks the Campus!
 Hail to the back-to-back conference champions! Hundreds turned out for the celebration of the basketball championship captured by the LATTC Beavers for the second year in a row. The players rode in a mini-parade from the LRC to the K-Mall where a crowd of several hundred had gathered to honor the conquering heroes. President Chip Chapdelaine welcomed the team and gave thanks to Coach Richard Wells for a job well done. Then ASO president Edwin Simpson gave each and every player and coach a specially-designed varsity jacket to commemorate this wonderful season. The players threw t-shirts to the Trade Tech students and staff and were cheered as they made their way to the stage. Player Nick Pacitti thanked everyone for the support and for being a community, and supportive of the team, which touched off another roar. He also said 28-5 the team’s record, was the best in school history. For a special group of scholar-athletes, this was a special day and one we hope they never forget.080430 |
