Project YESS Open House
A. Perkins rendered a powerful Inspirational Dance.On Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 from 10:00am to 1:00pm, the Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) Foster and Kinship Care Education Program under the Leadership of Dr. Dione Washington , hosted a fabulous Open House for its newest program addition, “The Project YESS Program (Youth Empowerment Strategies For Success).Th is event included gourmet refreshments and a formal presentation segment. The LATTC Academic Senate President, Ms. Chini Johnson Taylor served as the Mistress of Ceremony. The President of LATTC, Dr. Roland "Chip" Chapdelaine was on hand to offer a formal welcome and Mr. Ed Connelly from the Foundation for California Community Colleges provided an overview of the Project YESS Program.

There were over 180 guests in attendance. Several agencies were present as well, such as The South Central Foster Parent Association, The California State Care Providers Association, The Foundation For California Community Colleges, First 5 LA, The Teen Parent Program, Partnerships for Families, The LA Unified School District, The LA County Children's Planning Council, The Department of Children & Family Services, The LA County Department of Probation, various LA County Foster Family Agencies and many others. Trade Tech is committed to the success of Project YESS and the children it helps.

The Vice President of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Marcy Drummond gives words of encouragement. The President of LATTC, Dr. Roland "Chip" Chapdelaine does the official welcome.
The President of The Academic Senate, Ms. Chini Johnson Taylor served as the Mistress of Ceremony. The Dean of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Leticia Barajas recognized the outstanding work of the LATTC Foster & Kinship Care Education Program.
Mr. Ed Connelly from the Foundation for California Community Colleges provided an overview of the Project YESS Program. The Director of the Foster & Kinship Care Education Program, Dr. Dione Washington thanked everyone for their continued support of the LATTC Foster & Kinship Care Education Program.
