Lady Techster Runs Off With Scholarship
 Devora Hernandez's talent and determination have made history. The Los Angeles Trade-Tech cross country and track star has been granted a full athletic scholarship to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa , Oklahoma . She is believed to be the first female student in 80-plus years at Trade-Tech to receive such a prestigious scholarship at a Division 1 track and cross country program. Devora's accomplishments on the road and on the track have been phenomenal. A third at the Southern California Cross Country championships, followed by a sixth place finish at state! She owns the California community college record for the 10,000 meters with a 38.03 in 2006. She also has the fastest time this year. What is remarkable is that she is just as successful in the classroom as on the track. She carries a strong GPA, and is a graduate of Los Angeles High School . She is also the first in her family to go to college. The Trade Tech family wishes her the best in her intercollegiate career, setting a wonderful example of hard work, discipline and balance.
