Trade Tech Donates Refurbished Computers
The LATTC Electronics & Computer Department recently donated 20 personal computers and 1 lap top to 9th Street Elementary School. The computers had been donated to the computer class at LATTC and were unusable discards. Utilizing parts from other computers the students repaired and upgraded the inoperable computers. The Electronics department identifies schools, churches or families that could benefit from the use of a computer and makes arrangements for the refurbished equipment to be put to a useful purpose rather that being disassembled or dumped into landfill. This donation, repair and recycling program was established by Mr. Walter Taylor, Instructor, Electronics and Eric Chavez, Department Chair, Electronics Technology. 070308
