Culinary Students Bring Holiday Cheer
More than 200 LATTC students and their families will have a turkey on their holiday table this season, thanks to the efforts of Chief Steve Kasmar and students of the Culinary Arts department. Pictured with some of the food to be packaged are Damon River, Thelma Lindsy, James Gonzales, Casey Maddox, Rose Orosco, an unidentified student, Chief Kasmar, Mark Lackie, Angelica Benigno, Laison Connell, Ruben Hurndon and Laura Monje. The food is distributed to students identified by teachers and counselors as being needy. They are given a ticket, which they exchange for the pre-packaged bag.
Special thanks go out to the ASO who participated with their annual can drive, the Trade Tech family who donated over $600, which went toward the purchase of frozen turkeys and food service suppliers Sysco Foods and Arrañaga Food Service who made generous donations. 061221 |
