Trade Tech Celebrates Halloween
As October 31 rolls around each year it gets spooky at Trade Tech. Ghosts, goblins, super heroes, critters and creatures, the likes of which, you never imagined come out to haunt the campus. As they make their rounds from office to office, ground floor please, these knee-high spooks are quickly satisfied as their bags are filled with candy and cookies or more educational paraphernalia such as pencils and the like. At the end of their journey they have returned to their home, the LATTC Child Development Center. Wonder Woman, Snow White, The Cat in the Hat, the construction worker and other larger characters shuck their garb and turn back into teachers to put the weary goblins down for a much needed nap.
In the meantime over at the Trade Tech Fashion Department, the annual Halloween costume show was just getting under way. Fanciful costumes were paraded on the runway and when the judging was over Shannon Hayes crimson pyramid costume had walked away with the best in show prize. Laquisha Brown won the best make-up category and Raquel Cortez butterfly costume was judged best in the construction category. 061031 |
