The following is additional clarification regarding the new nonresident tuition exemption policies.
What's the new nonresident tuition exemption rule?
If a nonresident student is taking more than six units, will he/she be exempt from the nonresident tuition fee for his/her first six units?
What about students who also take courses outside the District? If, for example, we know that a nonresident student is taking five units within the District, but also taking seven units at UCLA, can we still charge that student the nonresident tuition fee?
Does the exemption apply to all students, including our international students (i.e., those students here on F-1 visas) and students taking online courses from overseas?
