Current Program
School Relations / Middle College handles
high school recruitment, K-12 concurrent enrollments and the
Steps Ahead Program including Middle-College High School,
Saturday Academy, Saturday Learning Center and Afternoon College.
As secondary school budget cuts and overcrowded classrooms
drive more students to seek a secondary education at the community
college level, Middle College and similar programs have become
more popular. Recently because of the increase, all registration
and enrollment in these programs have been directed to the
Admissions Office.
Personnel - At this time the program employs
three part-time faculty, three full-time classified employees
and 13 student employees.
Equipment - A copier and two printers are
in need of repair, and a copier, printers and three desktop
computers need to be replaced. Lap top computers are needed
immediately for use by staff.
Facilities - The program's office space is
limited and the facility often appears unclean and cluttered.
The carpet is worn and dirty beyond repair.
Future Program
This program is funded by grants, and eventually
will be phased out to be replaced with different recruitment
strategies and activities.
