Current Program
The department handles all personnel
and payroll paperwork, checking for accuracy and proper
documentation. Staff members assist faculty, staff and
students with payroll or personnel concerns.
Personnel - At this time the department
employs three payroll assistants and two personnel assistants.
Equipment - A copier needs to be repaired
or replaced. A typewriter and a laser jet printer need
to be replaced. There is an immediate need for a paper
shredder and a fax machine
Facilities - Current office space is
cramped and needs a new coat of paint if not remodeling.
The location of the office, however, is well situated
close to the Business Office, Bookstore and restrooms.
Future Program
The department needs to update its current
business practices to include state-of-the-art hardware
and software technology and services. It is expected
that the department will see an increase in workload
with increases in college enrollment and numbers of
people employed.
Personnel - See Projected Faculty and
Staff Needs.
Equipment - Within five years department
computers will need to be replaced and new computers
purchased for additional staff members. A copy machine
will need to be replaced.
Facilities - Additional office space,
including more storage space, is needed to accommodate
growth.
Staff Development - Staff Development
activities should include computer training, office
procedures and management
