URGENT NOTICE!!

Town Hall Meeting, Beginning of Building Users Group (South Campus BUG team), This Thursday!!!
Make sure you come by the Grand Theater this Thursday at 2pm in the Grand Theater for a Town Hall Meeting and the development of the BUG team for the South Campus project. This meeting is to prepare the BUG selection process. Eventually this team will help coordinate the selection of furniture, equipment and work areas in the South Campus project. The group also we’ll be involved in the systematic and sequential move of personnel from the R-building, the modular village and the remaining A-building offices, to the South Campus buildings. You will also have the opportunity to ask about other aspects of the construction on campus and what we can expect. Everyone on campus is invited.

Blue Light Stations
We have new Blue Light Stations on campus. They are designed to be used by students and staff in case of emergency. People who engage the red button will immediately be placed in touch with the campus Sheriff’s station. All of the stations are NOT online just yet. The stations on the F-lot, near the CDC and in the Olive Street Parking Structure are NOT operational yet. As soon as they are, we will inform you. We also looking are installing more of the stations.

A-Building Odor
Last week, those employees still working in the A-building were subjected to a foul-smelling odor coming from the construction zone. It was explained as a ventilating error by the contractor. The odor from wall clean-up was being transported into the halls instead of directly outside. It has been changed and the odor has dissipated. The construction zone uses three filters so no dangerous particles escape.

A-Building Lockers
Demolition contractors soon will be removing the lockers in the A-building. Dozens of the lockers still have personal locks on them. Please inform all students that they MUST remove the lock and the locker contents BEFORE  Friday 9/19. At that time, the locks will be broken and the contents will be removed and stored. We will notify students where the stored materials can be found.

Rose Bushes
The beautiful rose bushes in Stevens Square will not be lost to construction. Bill Smith is preparing planters along the pedestrian entrance to the Olive Street Parking Structure and the rose bushes have been transplanted there.

Questions about construction can be emailed to: ysaisdp@lattc.edu
Those questions will be passed along to the proper staff and answers will be sent along as soon as possible.
