| 1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
For the South Campus, Gymnasium and F Ramp, three of the four major bond construction projects have either completed initial DSA review and or/ are currently in DSA, with the last review scheduled to begin within the next 60 days. The CPM, DMJM/JGM, LATTC Facilities, and each project architect are working in concert to reconcile all comments for successful DSA backcheck review and to minimize change orders during construction. Issues such as storm water runoff are being addressed and street vacation permits are being coordinated with the City of LA. All projects are on schedule.
A meeting was held between DMJM /JGM and CPM to discuss steps for development and finalization of construction package for the south campus projects.
The fourth major project, Olive Street Parking Structure Design-Build is in the construction document phase, ahead of schedule .
The CPM released a Request for Contract with ACG & AVA to provide continuation of Project Management Services for the LATTC project for the next three-year phase effective July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008.
On July 13, 2005 the Board of Trustees approved certification and adoption of the 30-Year Final EIR Facilities Master Plan for LATTC.
Auto Metal Building, Package 1 and 3, both District managed projects are complete. Auto Metal Building Package 2 project, a bond program managed by the CPM, is complete albeit BOT acceptance of the Final Notice of Completion Certificate scheduled for BOT approval on September 7, 2005.
The Construction Technology Yard project is complete with two remaining punch list items that are currently being corrected by the
Contractor.
M & M Electric has completed about 75% of the electrical upgrade of the Liberal Arts building with final power cable pulls scheduled the first weekend in August 2005.
The CPM, DMJM/JGM, and MDA JF met on July 18, 2005 to review and resolve DSA, CSS, and ACG & AVA South Campus design review comments.
South Campus architects and ACG & AVA team will participate in a pre-backcheck meeting with DSA Structural and Accessibility engineers to prepare for DSA backcheck review in meetings scheduled for August 2 and 3, 2005.
The DSA review comments for Gymnasium project are being released in parts, those for Structural and Accessibility on August 17 and Fire Life Safety, September 21, 2005.
F Ramp Fire Life Safety and Accessibility plans with comments have been released by DSA to Kishimoto Architects. The CPM has begun compiling comments into an Excel database for review and resolution with the architect.
On 7/21/05 the College met with ARB to view screen samples of screen material for the Olive Street Parking Structure. The College selected the Z-bar design.
Bid advertisement for the Information Technology Conduit Installation project was posted on July 15 th and 22 nd , 2005 followed by a pre-bid conference on July 28, 2005. The Bid opening is scheduled for August 18, 2005.
On July 15, 2005 e7 Architecture Studio began videotaping an interactive DVD of the tunnel project site for inclusion into the Utility Tunnel Repair Bid package.
On July 28, 2005 the pre-bid conference for the Utility Tunnel Repair project was held at the College with fifteen vendors in attendance.
Campus wide design coordination of the telecommunication system and security system is in progress and the Basis of Design report is scheduled for release by TRC-EASi by the end of July 2005.
