1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
- The addendum to the 5 Year EIR received BOT approval on 10/6/04.
- The Final NOP for the 30 Year EIR scheduled for release at the end of September 2004 is pending due to additional land acquisition plans not previously included within the approved Master Plan.
- The CPM has received the 95% CD package for the South Campus project. The CPM has found that the Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Life safety sections are incomplete. However, not to delay the review process, the CPM has forwarded the package to LATTC Facilities, CPM review team and Program Manager for review.
- LATTC Administration has approved the exterior screen façade proposed by PSK for the Gymnasium project. PSK is preparing for the 50% CD package submittal for CPM review on 10/27/04. CPM review turnaround time is estimated at three week scheduled for completion around 11/16/04.
- Additionally, the Math and Science Building, 100% CD submittal of the Pumps design by PA Breen is under review by CPM and LATTC Facilities. The SD submittal for the above ground dual fuel tanks, also by PA Breen will be submitted for CPM review early next month.
- The CPM is also scheduled to recieve the 100% CD package for the 'F' Ramp Project from KAI for review by the end of the month. CPM review turnaround time is estimated at three weeks with completion scheduled for 11/27/04.
- On 10/21/04, the CPM Director, Deryl Redden gave a presentation to the LATTC Faculty community as part of a Campus organized presentation update on the Prop A & AA Bond Program. Other speakers for the occasion included Nancy Pearlman from the LACCD Board of Trustees, Leon Marzillier, President, DAS and Susan McMurray, President, LAHC.
- The CPM Team is coordinating with the Contractor, Campus Facilities and furniture vendors regarding the move from a room in the Culinary Arts building to the new location in the LRC Basement, again, on Campus, scheduled for the third week of December, 2004.
- The CPM held a pre-construction meeting with Kahromic Contracting, Inc. on 10/06/04. NTP to Kahromic has been issued on 10/15/04. The CTY Ground Breaking ceremony, the first for the Trade Tech College has been scheduled for 10/29/04. The CPM is coordinating efforts with the President's office for this event.
- The CPM visited the Aurora Facilities yard to determine the condition of the modular toilet. The modular restroom was not 100% complete and the CPM obtained an estimate from the general contractor regarding a change order. The CPM made an offer to the bank representative for the purchase of the modular toilet, prior to the auction of Aurora Inventory as a part of the bankruptcy settlement.
