THE NEW STUDENT GUIDE TO SUCCESS
Submit Admissions Application + Self Placement
Fill out the LACCD - LATTC Application online or stop by the
Student Support Center, D3-105
Students can expect to receive their Student ID Number within (3) three business days.
If you have graduated from high school within the last 10 years: Please complete the Self-Placement portion of your Admissions Application using your HS Transcript as a reference.
If you are a new student and have completed high school within the last 10 years, you will receive automatic placements after receiving your Student ID number. Check your placements on your portal by selecting ‘Academics’ then ‘View Assessment Data’.
If HS Graduation was more than 10 years ago: Please visit our Placement Center or see a Counselor with your Official High School Transcripts and/or get assistance with “Guided Self Placement”.
If you are an international student (F-1 visa), use the International Student Application and contact our
International Student Center
for more information regarding the admission process. (see the International Student Forms and Deadlines page for more details)
If you are a high school student, looking to for consurrent enrollment, there are additional forms that can be foound on the Admissions & Records website (K-12 Forms).
Student Portal Login + Orientation
Login with your Student Portal by following these steps:
- While on the the LATTC Website (lattc.edu)
- Select “PeopleSoft” from the Quicklinks dropdown
- Login using your Student ID Number and Password.
First Time Sign-On? Click on “First Time Signing In?” to view login instructions.
Complete your Online Orientation for an introduction to services, programs and academics at Los Angeles Trade Tech College using the "Actions Menu" button on the top right corner inside your Student Portal. Click "Orientation".
Counseling + Education Plan
Visit our Bridges to Success Center to meet with a Counselor to get an educational plan. You can visit them online through Cranium Café - Bridges Counselors.
Apply for Financial Aid
Complete your FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) at fafsa.gov or the CA Dream Act at
caldreamact.org to apply for potential financial aid assistance for college expenses. Apply between October 1st - March 2nd to maximize your potential award. If you need any assistance with your financial aid application, visit the
Financial Aid Computer Lab

Register for Classes
Please visit the Student Portal (People Soft) to view: Registration Dates, Class Schedules, Financial Aid Awards, Academic Holds, Fees, Grades, and more. You may enroll into courses using your Student Portal, on or after your designated enrollment appointment.
Check your Enrollment Appointment by following these steps:
- Login to your Student Portal with Student ID # and Default Password Step
- Click "Academics Menu" and look for "Reg Date and Deadline" under "Term Information"
- Choose Term Step
- Scroll through Enrollment Appointment
