The Purpose of the Journalism Club
The purpose of the Journalism Club, or J Club, is to inform the students of LATTC of college news and events. In addition, we wish to further the endeavors of LATTC students’ interest in journalism, by informing members of internships and other professional development programs related to journalism, by networking with professional journalists in order to inform students pursuing journalism careers, and educating students about their intended major both at LATTC and at other accredited colleges or universities. The club work supports the LATTC campus newspaper, TradeWinds. Through TradeWinds, the Journalism Club maintains a place for students to publish their literary works, photography, artwork, and opinions. The Journalism Club actively participates in fund-raising activities, whenever necessary, to support club activities. All LATTC students are encouraged to participate. Join Us!
