TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

Instructional Media Services provides support for media production (audio and video Podcasts, KZO Networks streaming multimedia, basic audio/video editing, etc.) and media integration (Moodle, RSS feeds, web page embedding) - upon availability.
• Archived training sessions can be found in the Media Links section of this site.

Smart Classrooms and Media Theaters

To use L-107 or L-110 or to be trained on any Smart Classroom, please email media@lattc.edu or dial extension 3684 for individual training or assistance.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Filming, Editing, and Digital Distribution

Included as part of media production, Instructional Media Services provides filming class lectures and activities, media editing of previously shot footage, and media conversion and/or digital delivery using RSS attachments or other web-related embedding methods. Please contact Patrick Reed to discuss producing media matrerials for classes.

Audio and/or Video Podcasting

Another great resource for students is Podcasting lecture materials. Using a Podcast Box, audio from lectures can be recorded and potentially ready for download within minutes of the class ending. For classes that involve visual aids or presentations, video of the class can also be captured and ready for download in the same way as the audio Podcast Box.

Live Webcasting & Live Distance Education

Please contact Patrick Reed to discuss best methods and practices. Webcasts can be used for simultaneous live class instruction of students in seperate locations for Distance Education, as well as live event webcasting to be published on the campus homepage or separate web page.
