Priority is on a first come, first serve basis - however, those with fewer requests may take priority over those in need of media equipment regularly.• Please submit your media request at least 2 BUSINESSDAYS IN ADVANCE, as to ensure your equipment request may be met or so that Media Services can notify you otherwise.
• No Media Equipment may leave campus grounds at any time.
• We ask that Media Equipment not be reserved for ALL or MOST class meetings in a semester. If you need a media player for each class, please contact your Department Chair to discuss any possible room change, into which there may be dedicated equipment or the purchasing of new equipment.
• Equipment may not be checked out for the duration of a semester. Please discuss the purchasing of equipment needed regularly with your Department Chair.
Guidelines for Duplicating Media
• All BULK MEDIA requests MUST include adequate amount of like-media from a Name Brand Manufacturer (Sony, TDK, JVC, Maxell, Fuji, etc), and MUST match the Runtime of the Master Copy.NOTE: All VHS requests are duplicated in "SP" Mode (the stadard setting). Most VHS tapes indicate the Total Runtime as "T-###" (For example: T-120 = 120 minutes). Assess your Runtime needs and purchase accordingly.
• COPYRIGHT CLEARANCE: Per Copyright Law, Media Services can only make one copy of copyrighted material in each requested format. The copies may not be viewed simltaneously in seperate locations - doing so is a clear violation of copyright laws.
