CARE

          Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education   Care Coordinator: MS. Green, Associate Professor of Counseling

CARE is a special program for a unique group of EOPS students. Administered through the EOPS office, the CARE program provides additional services to students who are single parents, head-of-household, receiving public assistance (AFDC). Students who qualify for the CARE program are eligible to receive financial assistance and services in addition to those available under EOPS,

 

 


Who Is Eligible?

Students may be eligible for the CARE program if they satisfy the following requirements:

1. EOPS eligibility- must be an active EOPS student, who has received a book-grant

2. PINK Agency Certification Form                                                                                             Available in A-137. Take to case worker to complete and return to A-137. This form verifies:                                                                            

  • Admitted to the EOPS program
  • Single parent head of household
  • Receive public assistance (AFDC)
  • Have at least one child under 14 years of age

3. Attend a CARE Orientation

  Reminder:  Every Fall semester new and continuing students must

  submit a new CARE application.
