Skills Certificate - Digital Design

The Digital Design Certificate provides an excellent educational foundation for students interested in the fields of architecture, industrial design, toy design, furniture design, interior design, landscape architecture, set design. and virtual reality environment. It is also an ideal certificate for professionals seeking to transfer their existing design knowledge into a digital form. The skills developed in this program include 3D prototyping, visualization, conceptualization, 3D composition, lighting, proportion, sketching and modeling. Applications employed are 3D Studio, Microstation Modeler, Access, Triforma, Autocad, Microstation CAD and GIS, among others. Students will be exposed to a number of technological applications, include database management, spatial modeling, intelligent objects, CAD, information systems and Windows operating systems. In addition, they will develop organizational skills in time management, teamwork, communication, and digital file management.
Requirements for the Skills Certificate in Digital Design may be met by completing the required 17 units of course work below with a "C" or better grade in each course.
