History 11 - Political and Social History of the United States I (3) UC:CSU
This course examines the historical development of the UNtited States of America from 1492 to the close of the Civil War. Emphasis on the relationship of regions, both internal and external, the role of major ethnic and social groups, the continuity of the American expreience, and its derivation from other culture, politics, economics, social movements, and its geography.

This course presents a study of the major political, economic, intellectual and cultural moverments and events of the twentieth century.
History 41 - The African American in the History of the United States I (3) UC:CSU
This course will examine the historical development of the United States of American from the early colonial era through the Civil War with special emphasis on the contributions of the Afro-American. Emphasis on the erelationship of regions, both internal and external, the role of major ethnic and social groups, the continuity of the American experience, and its derivation from other cultures, politics, economics, socila moverments and its geography.
History 42 - The African American in the History of the United States II (3) UC: CSU
This course will examine the historical development of the United States of American from the end of the Civil War to the present with special emphasis on the contributions of the Afro-American. Emphasis on the erelationship of regions, both internal and external, the role of major ethnic and social groups, the continuity of the American experience, and its derivation from other cultures, politics, economics, socila moverments and its geography.
History 43 - The Mexican-American in the Political and Social History of the United States I (3) UC:CSU
This course will examine the historical development of the United States of American from the early colonial era through the Civil War with special emphasis on the contributions of the Mexican-American. Emphasis on the erelationship of regions, both internal and external, the role of major ethnic and social groups, the continuity of the American experience, and its derivation from other cultures, politics, economics, socila moverments and its geography.
History 44 - The Mexican-American in the Political and Social History of the United States II (3) UC:CSU
This course will examine the historical development of the United States of American from the end of the Civil War to the present with special emphasis on the contributions of the Mexican-American. Emphasis on the erelationship of regions, both internal and external, the role of major ethnic and social groups, the continuity of the American experience, and its derivation from other cultures, politics, economics, socila moverments and its geography.
History 52 - The Role of Women in the History of the US (3) UC:CSU
This course will explore the political, social, economic and intellectual history of women in the development of the United States from the early colonial era to the present with special emphasis on their contributions, as well as issues. ALso, it surveys, the U.S. Constitution and California state and local government in the context of the story of women in the history of the United States.
History 86 - Introduction to World Civilization I (3) UC:CSU
Students will critically analyze world cultures and their importance and contribution to humankind, explain basic concepts, theories, beliefs of different cultures, from the Stone Age B.C.E. to the end of 1300 A.C.E. (Middle Ages.)
History 87 - Introduction to World Civilization II (3) UC:CSU
Students will critically analyze world cultures and their importance and contributions to humankind, explain basic concepts, theories and beliefs of different cultures from the beginning of the Renaissance to the present.
