TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
for Accessing Research Databases from Off Campus. |

If you are having problems accessing the Library's Research Databases from off campus, please follow directions. If you are still having access issues, please contact the library during business hours by calling

| Q1. Are you a currently enrolled student, faculty or staff? |
A1. Licensing agreements for library databases require that access be extended only to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff.

| Q2. What username/password are you entering when prompted? |
A2. If you are a student, your LATTC ID number is your username, and your six digit birthday (mmddyy) is your password. If you are faculty or staff, please enter your LATTC email username/password.

| Q3. Are you accessing the Database from the Library's Research Databases page? |
A3. For example, if you are trying to access CountryWatch, do not go to the www.coutrywatch.com directly; you must go to the Library's Research Databases page http://library.lattc.edu/libdatabases.html, then select CountryWatch from the list.

| Q4. What web browser are you using to access the Research Databases? |
AOL browser may experience problems with remote access to Research Databases. If you are using AOL as your Internet browser, close it and open Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Firefox. These web browser are available to download for free if your computer doesn't already have one.

| Q4: Is your web browser set to accept cookies? |
The Library remote authentication system requires browsers to accept cookies. Click here to see if you have cookies enabled on your computer.
