The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) on October 3rd, 2018 at 11:18 a.m. Pacific Time, there will be a nationwide test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS). The message will simply say…THIS IS A TEST. FEMA will assess the effectiveness of its distribution after the test.
